How to Grade Your Device

Not sure what shape your device is in? Use this guide to figure out whether your phone, tablet, laptop, watch, or console is Like New, Good, or Fair — then include the condition when you request your quote.

Like New

  • No cracks on the screen or back glass
  • No deep scratches, dents, or scuffs
  • Minimal signs of use on the body or frame

How it should work

  • Powers on and all functions work as expected
  • Battery holds a normal charge for its age
  • No repair history, or only official repairs

Helps your offer

  • Original box, charger, and accessories increase value
  • Factory reset and signed out of all accounts

Good

Fully functional with normal wear from everyday use. Small cosmetic imperfections are expected and accepted.

What we look for

  • Light scratches or scuffs on the body or screen
  • Minor wear on edges, corners, or buttons
  • No cracks, though small chips may be acceptable

How it should work

  • Powers on and core functions work properly
  • Battery may show some age but still performs normally
  • Any prior repairs are disclosed and function correctly

  • Accounts signed out and personal data erased

Fair

Shows clear signs of wear, damage, or repair but still has value. We review fair-condition devices case by case.

What we look for

  • Cracked screen or back glass
  • Noticeable scratches, dents, or bent frame
  • Worn buttons, ports, or hinges

How it should work

  • May still power on and be usable

  • Previously repaired or water-damaged — disclose the details

Helps your offer

  • Even non-working devices can have value
  • Honest details help us give you an accurate offer

What we typically cannot accept

  • iCloud or activation-locked devices we cannot verify
  • Devices reported lost or stolen
  • Devices with unpaid carrier financing you cannot clear

When in doubt, reach out — we review every device individually and can often offer options you may not expect.
